Had UK dropped the pound in 2004, I am afraid we would have been in FAR Worse situation that Greece is today inside the EURO and under the boot of Germany EURO=Financing to survive.
Wise UK kept the pound and the country was saved from disaster as it happened with the biggest economies of EU except Germany who are making the rules and control the money for themselves, the architects of the disaster of Europe.
What Disaster of EU?
This is Greece in Poverty in EU and with EU and IMF Economic Medicines! Trust them?
France in Flames from North to South with Workers Rebelling! Trust EU ?
The Ruins of EU that Threaten UK now and Tomorrow!!
If you expect the REMAIN and EU to tell us what is the REAL Catastrophe is in EU, think again. Nine economies in EU destroyed, YOUTH unemployment on average 25% and 52% in Greece, 46% in Italy and 39% in Spain. The REMAIN pick up numbers from the calf to impress us all and persuade us to stay in EU and destroy the future of our children and the country.
We all know that UK is borrowing such amounts that will destroy the UK economy shortly. Shall I say that 11.5 billion net FEES UK pays to EU make several billions in returns, had those annual sums been invested in UK rather than anywhere the Bureaucrats want but more so in their own comforts of salaries of One Million each, private jets etc.
The Economists and Leaders of Finance Screamed and Shouted like today!!
Join the Euro. The pound, the UK economy the Housing market workers will be better off, if you drop the pound and ADOPT the EURO!
How wrong were they? NOT just 100%, they were so wrong that this country would have destroyed itself had it join the Euro. Those countries who did have been destroyed already. Nine of them already destroyed and we in UK see their migration to this country. That was EU at work! Such work that 27 countries are crying foul, one country is enjoying the product of their currency and EU bureaucracy! GERMANY!!
Yet, these same experts, economists and organisations from Banks to IMF, from Big Componaies to Multinationals and from Leaders of EU to International leaders are telling us exactly to do the same today. Stay in an EU that has destroyed Nine Economies of Europe, Stay in EU that has stagnated over the last eight years and has seen unemployment of 50% and mass, uncontrolled migration to EU.
Believe them?
Why? What gives them that credit and what success can they point to?
They brought us all disaster upon disaster!!
Unworthy to be given credit since the biggest disaster in recent memory in 2008, they had NO idea about and as the Queen wondered
” Why haven’t you seen it coming, EXPERTS?””
The pound is strong and it will remain strong and British!!

With an avg. 1.2M voters per MEP & Britain having only 8%, if united, say. The EUropean Parliament has no ability to make policy and has a Commission of unelected bureaucrats, thus clearly the EU is not even a pretence of being a democracy; yet The EU & many of its vassal States are willing to slaughter people in Sovereign States, to impose The EU’s chosen brand of democracy on them!The imposition of a Government and policies upon its vassal regions such as the peoples of Greece shows just how far from being a democracy the EU is.
There will be little or no change in Britain’s economic position, when we leave the EU, using a better negotiated & updated version of the ‘Norway Model’ as a stepping stone to becoming a full member of the Eropean Economic Area, where all will benefit, as we secure trade relations with the EU’s vassal regions, with an EFTA style status and can trade and negotiate independently on the global stage, as members of The Commonwealth and the Anglosphere.
Do not overlook the fact that politicians have plotted and schemmed since the 1950s and we have actually been vassals of the EU, when it was still using the aesopian linguistics and calling itself The Common Market in the early 1970s, a name the bureaucrats arbitrarily changed to EUropean Union in the early 1990s as they worked towards their long term goals of an ever closer centrally controlled Political and economic Union with its own anthem, currency, flag and rigid central control by its self appointed bureacrats towards a new Empirate –
It will take many years to rectify the mess our political class got us into and we have no other peacefull means by which to extricate ourselves than to depend on that self same self styled elite, who all too often forget they work for us!
